NOTE from MATT BURNS: Here are some books I've read over the past year or so that mostly have to do with Los Angeles and Hollywood. I think you'll find some of it interesting, but it's mostly a book journal I kept for my own reference. All the books were read as research for various screenplays I've written and possibly for future novels (if I end up going that route). As I mention later in this journal, Hollywood is America at triple-speed. What is happening in Hollywood is a reflection of what's happening in America. Likewise, the problems in Hollywood are a reflection of the problems in America. Also, because of globalization and 'Americanization', Hollywood is quickly becoming a reflection of the entire world. This means that the key to understanding what is wrong in the world today can be found in Hollywood. And the key to changing the world is in Hollywood. Hollywood Book Journal
